Simply Lovely

My sister and my gorgeous nephew, Aiden came to visit me last night. It just need to say that Aiden is the most beautiful child in the world. We were eating dinner last night and I could not help but stare at him...I mean, he is simply lovely! I wish I had a camera to capture these moments.

This is completely random, but Franklin has gotten so big!

Before & After

In a previous post I mentioned that Pete wanted to shave his head....well, he did it! Here are the before and after shots. I really really loved his long hair (comparatively speaking), but the shaved head is growing on me :) It's hard to say which style I like best, because they are both so different. He loves it and thinks it makes him look more professional. Whatever makes him happy...change is good!

Franklin & Sadie

Franklin Jack Bauer Willis has grown up so fast! Yes, that is his whole name...Pete's only a little obsessed with 24. Here's a video I took of him today playing with Sadie (Pete's mom's 150lb Mastiff). It is truly amazing how gentle Sadie is with Franklin. By the way, did you notice Pete's new haircut!!! I will post before and after pictures very soon.

Yes...MORE cupcakes!

I know what you are thinking...Really? More cupcakes! Well I can't help myself. I made these cupcakes for some friends at work. Birthday cupcakes are a must in my book. Did you notice the surprise inside...a Reese's peanut buttercup!

Thank you to my good friend May Molina for taking these wonderful photos :)

Red?

Loren wants to dye her hair red. Pete does not like the idea.
Pete wants to shave his head. Loren's not a fan.

More Cupcakes!!!

As most of you probably already know...Pete has been working in Starkville the last few months (3 hours away). So, I thought I would make him something sweet to enjoy during the week while he's working. I saw a really cool rainbow cake on Whisk-Kid's blog and thought it would be neat to translate into a cupcake (because I'm obsessed). I've seen many rainbow cupcakes that are swirled but I thought it would be a nice surprise to layer them in the cupcake liner. The goal was to have 3 layers of cake separated by icing and then icing on top of course. Obviously it didn't turn out quite like I imagined, but atleast they taste really good. I let Pete pick out the colors (which remind me of Nickelodeon). I call them "Inside Out Cupcakes."

Easter Cupcakes

Not a very good photo...I took it with Pete's iPhone. Did I mention I broke my camera when we were playing in the snow?!?
